Pets can sense change, and a move can be very stressful for them. From the noise of packing to adjusting to a new environment, it’s important to keep your furry friends comfortable and safe throughout the process.

Start by maintaining their regular routine as much as possible. Feed them at the usual times, keep familiar toys and bedding nearby, and give them lots of reassurance. Slowly introduce packing boxes so they can get used to the change.

On moving day, keep pets in a quiet room away from the chaos or consider boarding them temporarily. Make sure their carrier is secure, well-ventilated, and contains comforting items like a blanket or toy.

Once in the new home, take time to pet-proof the area and set up their space right away. Let them explore at their own pace and stick to familiar routines to help them adjust.

With a little preparation and patience, your pets can transition just as smoothly as the rest of the family. A calm pet makes the move easier on everyone involved.
